“Open Arms” Community Award 2020. 

It is 46 years since the VCAS was formed and much  has changed in  Sunderland since then but ensuring that the community our members  support has access to the services they needs still depends on the  commitment of the people who form our members.  

Our  members  & our partners work tirelessly to enhance the lives of the people  they support and the “Open Arms”  Awards has been  developed to  recognise those efforts and celebrate their significant and continued  contribution. 

I am proud to announce that the inaugural awards will be held in March 2020 and will include: 

· Community Group Award 

· Partnership Award 

· Health and Wellbeing Award 

· Community Places & Spaces Award 

· Influence and Collaboration Award 

· Community Culture and Arts Award 

· Sports Award 

· Trustee of the Year award 

· Young Volunteer Award 

· Volunteer Award 

· Community Role Model Award 

We  would welcome your support in recognising the selfless work carried out  by our members and have created an opportunity for your business to  recognise our members efforts through sponsoring one of the awards.
