Sunderland Foodbank Volunteers

The Sunderland Foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area. It opened in November 2017 after it was seen that there was a real need to support those in crisis in the Sunderland area.

Since opening it has received support from the Council and local businesses and supermarkets across the region and uses the goods it receives to supply collection points in the Sunderland area.

WWIN are making every effort to keep our crisis services as accessible as possible, whilst following Government guidelines and keeping our staff and service users safe.

We are reviewing all services on a daily basis. Staff are home-working where possible and non-essential activities and visits have been cancelled for now.

Our advice team are still working hard both from home and the office to continue to offer advice and support to those in our community. Although this advice at the moment can only be offered over the telephone we are assisting and helping everyone that contacts us!

A huge thank you to our advice workers as well as the rest of our team working behind the scenes to keep in contact with our clients and other organisations in the community.

You can still contact us at ShARP for advice by calling 01913856687 or 07477875783 for advice.

Please follow the Government Guidelines in this time and stay home, stay safe and keep sharing our updates!
